My comment is a rebuttal to Stacy's below. So are you saying that the black mayor of NO was hiring people to move every black persons things from their house in the uptown area to the downtown areas? I DIDN'T think so... at some point you will have to stop blaming other poeple for your own laziness. Do you really think that all of this was a plot to try and kill all the blacks in the 9th Ward? I think that if something like that was going on the mayor would have done something about it.

I think that was sad and I feel the government did not do their jobs .bush he needs to be knocked down !!!!!!! They thried to drown the blacks in new orleans ,if you look at it they started to move all the blacks from the uptown area into the downtown areas the crime rate sky rocketed ,and they knew this would happen . They could have made better preparation for those leevees to not break ; if you ask me they wanted them to break they knew that the dsowntown, lower 9th ward area was mostly blacks ! they people need to get thier heads back on strong i understand it will be hard take your lives as a blessing and try to make it better the second time around .

I evacuated to Hattiesburg,Middiddippi from New Orleans as a result of Katrina. I was in the Red Cross Shelter there. I commot praise the Red Cross enough for what they did for me there. There was not a thing that they over looked for my well being. They were wonderful.

I think its really sad that the president didn't do much as possiable to help those people in New Orleans.why do they control the money if there not going to put it to good use?I know if president Clinton was in charge New Orleans situation would have been better outcome. Those people deserve much more help than they did receive. And another thing how did the search crews look over so many living lives,it should have been enough of them out there to pull and rack back to really search.Because very few cared to get those people outnof there.I just wish somebody get that races as president out of there.president Bush only made the United States look bad!

Yeah dis dat girl dede my family had to leave for katrina and it was very hard, not just for my family but for every one. I think that if all of New Orleans works together as one big family we can get our city back. Right now i am staying in Houston,T.x and it is not hte same as being at home the people and the life style are so diffrent. I just want to get my home toghether so we can all go back home and start our lives over again. They still got people that have no place to live Like my dad he lives in his car but i think if we try there will be no need for our pepople to be liveing out on the street, So NEW ORLEANS just try yo hardest and dont give up and i know we caan get thrugh dis. But im out to go build up my hood so peace. ya heard me.
