I can't belive how the government and the president didn't try to help
quickly. I pity those people who got hurt and don't pity the government and the
president who didn't try to help very quick the day after it hit. I agree with the
person who said that they are not going back there no matter what. |

After I recieved several letters from people from new orleans i was shocked
to find many home owners DID NOT have a flood policy and so close to water, now
insurance carriers are forced deny claims to people who have bought new homes or
lived in their homes for years, i feel so sick everytime we do it..so to people who
buy homes ALWAYS FIND OUT IF YOUR IN A FLOOD ZONE,TORNADOE PRONE AREA ect. READ YOUR
POLICY CAREFULLY,FIND out if your landlord as coverage, if not get renters
insurance..IF YOUR AGENT WONT EXPAIN ANYTHING GO WITH ANOTHER INSURANCE CO....GOD
BLESS

I am sorry for all affected by hurricane katrina and hope you can get back
to a happier life.
I have a idea for rebuilding in the floodplain. Don't
I believe this area should be dug out for a lake and the dirt used to raise the
land up to a safe height above the level of the surrounding waters.
Everyone owning 1 acre would get 1 lot-1/3 acre of land on a channel arround the
lake.
This land would have to be at a safe level above sea level.
