I purchased a mobile trailer home from TB SALES & Service in Hattiesburg,
MS., and I think it is a Katrina trailer because I am unable to get a title to the
trailer. The ID number is HOGA18I00491. Could you please let me know if this is a
Katrina trailer? My e-mail address is Larkin45@aol.com

I am a native of New Orleans. I did not own property, but I have lived all
of my adult life in my beautiful historic city.
I want to say that the federal government, fema, and the insurance companies have not
treated the people of the city of New Orleans fairly and justly.
Everyone who lost a home, or damages to home or belongings in New Orleans should be
made 100% whole. This is because the Corp of Engineers, a federal agency, is at
fault for the defective levees.
Instead they blame the victims by insisting our homes be higher, we pay higher
insurance, we should have flood insurance, our politicians are corrupt, and on and
on with blaming the the victims.
The politicians in power will put up a thousand smokescreens to justify not
restoring this fabulous city and its people. I always used to say that I lived in a
museum. Our whole city was a delight to the eye and the senses.

WASHINGTON, June 13 — As much as $1.4 billion in government disaster aid to victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita — nearly a quarter of the total — went to bogus or undeserving victims, a new Congressional investigation concludes.
The improper or fraudulent payments went to a dizzying array of con artists or other
undeserving recipients, according to the analysis by the Government Accountability
Office, which is set to announce its findings at a hearing Wednesday.
In one case, a man stayed more than two months on the government tab at a hotel in
Hawaii that cost more than $100 a night. At the same time, he was getting $2,358 in
government rent assistance, even though he had not been living in the property he
claimed was damaged in the storm.
We the people (U.S. Tax Payer) reach out to the people affected by Katrina and we
get taken advantage of. Next time a Katrina rolls through a town, we the people may
not dowl out "relief" as quickly or in the amounts you need to "get over the hump".
Where have the character and values gone in this country to think it is OK to RIP
off "we the people"!!

Personally, I agree with Denny...But i am so sorry what has happened...But
people could have listened better and evacuated before the storm...New Orleans was
30 feet BELOW se level and hello...If a place is under sea level and a lot of rain
gets dumped down AND levees break well yea the city is going to flood! Well...
